ACT & SAT College Entrance Exams

March 1, 2022, 7:40am is the school-wide ACT test day.  
  • ALL Juniors will be taking the official ACT
  • Students in grades 9, 10, & 12 will be working remotely on 2/23/21.  Please refer to weekly newsletter for details.

ACT & SAT College Entrance Exams The ACT & SAT are college entrance exams that some colleges require in order to be admitted. 

ACT
All students will take a state-mandated ACT at school during their Junior year.  Mandatory ACT review sessions will take place during Academy time throughout students Junior year.

National testing:  Students may wish to take the ACT more than once; students are encouraged to register online at http://www.actstudent.org/      
 

SAT

The SAT is another test that some colleges may require for admittance to their school.  Again, it is encouraged to register early to make sure you have secured your seat for test day.

*Please note that some schools require that your test score be sent directly from the testing agency.  When registering for these tests, you are given the option to have your score sent to a couple schools for free.  You are encouraged to take advantage of this to avoid fees later.


Test Preparation

One of the best sources to prepare for the exams is the website you register for the test on.  There are many useful tools to help you prepare yourself for the test day, ranging from sample test questions to sample tests.
