I have been honored to serve this community the last 15 years as the superintendent of the Tallmadge City school District. I never dreamed when I arrived 33 years ago as a teacher and coach, that I would have the opportunity to spend the majority of my career here.
Some of my fondest memories include raising my children in our beloved city, teaching and coaching students, the relationships I’ve built with staff and community members, and the time spent with so many great families.
Over the past 15 years, our district has made leaps and bounds when it comes to how we educate our students. From chalkboards and erasers to state-of-the-art buildings for the 21st century, none of this progress would have been possible without the support of this community.
I’ve made some hard asks during difficult times and this community has always come through for its youngest citizens. I have been truly blessed to lead a district in a community that values education. I have also been blessed in my tenure to work with the most caring, compassionate and hard-working staff.
To the Tallmadge staff, your commitment to the children of Tallmadge is unparalleled. The working relationships I have developed over the years will stay with me long after I leave. It is with a great sense of pride that I am able to call all of you not only my colleagues, but also my friends.
I am looking forward to my next journey as it begins, but would like to thank the community for allowing me to be part of this special place. Your support of Tallmadge City School District during my career has made all the difference.
