Corbin Wade BSN, RN, THS Class of 2011

 

Corbin graduated from Tallmadge High School in 2011 and continued his education at Walsh University graduating in 2016.  Currently, Corbin is working with Cleveland Clinic Akron General and has been an RN for the past 4 years. In addition Corbin has spent the past two months working with Crossroads Hospice and Palliative Care.

 

While at THS Corbin participated in Art Club, Drama, Show Choir, and Business Professionals of America.   Under the direction of Frank Chaff, he acted in the plays Get Smart, MASH, Poe Play and musicals Little Shop of Horrors, Once Upon a Mattress, Wizard of Oz, Grease.

Corbin also was a member of the THS Swim Team.

 

If students at THS plan to pursue Nursing or some type of medical career, Corbin highly recommended taking Chemistry and Anatomy courses while in high school.  In addition, he recommended all students enroll in Foreign Language courses as well as the courses that can give you college credit (CCP Courses and AP Courses).

 

Corbin’s advice to the students at THS- “Enjoy high school while you can! Don’t forget to enjoy being young! At the same time, don’t be stupid (hugs not drugs). Study hard and work hard to get to where you need to be. If you’re able to, take college classes in high school. Life changes so much after high school! If high school isn’t a good time for you, hang in there because it will get better!!'
