TALLMADGE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL PRINCIPAL SELECTED

TALLMADGE, OH – (June 16, 2021) – After an extensive search, the Tallmadge City School Board tonight approved the hiring of Adam Booth as principal of Tallmadge Elementary School. Currently serving as Assistant Principal at Lake Elementary in Hartville, Booth has more than 20 years in the education arena, serving 16 years as a middle and high school math teacher, and four years in administration at the middle and elementary levels. He also brings experience in building technology support and various coaching roles.

Over 40 candidates applied for the position. The candidates participated in a multi-tiered interview process, meeting with members of the administration team, teachers, faculty, parents and students to determine their capability to lead TES.  Tallmadge Elementary School opened in August 2020 and serves over 1000 children.

“Booth rose to the top of the process with all of the stakeholders. He is a respected leader whose enthusiasm and passion for education shine through. We are really excited to have him join the team.” stated Steve Wood, superintendent of Tallmadge City Schools.

“This was an extremely tough decision, and we are thankful for the strong candidates we had to consider, as well as to the administrative team, parents, teachers, faculty and students who offered their time and input to this process” Wood added.

Booth graduated from Grove City College in 2001 and lives in Lake Township with his wife and four boys.  He is a lifelong Northeast Ohio resident and is passionate about academics, athletics, and the arts.

"I'm excited by the opportunity to join Tallmadge City Schools," Booth said. "Tallmadge has a remarkable reputation and I look forward to working with the amazing teachers, staff, students and families at Tallmadge Elementary."
