For those who were in contact with a person who has either tested positive for COVID-19 is or is determined to be a probable positive:
People less than six (6) feet for more than fifteen (15) minutes in a 24 hour period of time.
*The exception to this rule is if all parties involved wore a face covering and were at least three (3) feet apart from each other in a classroom setting or if someone is fully vaccinated*; in either case, quarantine is not required. Contacts will have to show proof of vaccination to be exempted from quarantine.
The District will follow the most recent guidance from the CDC for both the 7-day or 10-day quarantine options for students who are exposed and must still quarantine. When using the reduced 7-day or 10-day option, students must be asymptomatic.
Options to reduce quarantine:
- After day 7 and after receiving a negative test result (test must occur on day 5 or later)
- After day 10 without testing
- After stopping quarantine, watch for symptoms until 14 days after exposure
