As announced yesterday, Tallmadge City Schools will be transitioning to a fully remote schedule beginning on Monday, December 7th thru Tuesday, December 22nd. Please review the following information:
THS Remote Schedule details
Beginning on Monday, December 7th, we will be following the THS Remote schedule listed below. ALL students, regardless of the previously scheduled hybrid day, should log into their Google classrooms and follow the schedule below for live instruction (via Google meet or Zoom). Attendance will be taken and parents will be contacted if their student is not in attendance.
Block 1: 7:45am-8:45am
Block 2: 9:00am-10:00am
Teacher Office hours: 10:00am-11:00am
Lunch: 11:00am-11:30am
Block 3: 11:30am-12:30pm
Block 4: 12:45pm-1:45pm
Teacher Office hours: 1:45pm-2:30pm
Attendance
Attendance will be taken during every block (1-4) throughout the school day. If your student has not logged onto their google meet (or zoom) for online instruction, a text message will be sent to the parent/guardian notifying them of their student’s absence.
If your child is unable to attend their online instruction for the day, please call the main office at 330-633-5505 just as you would if your student was attending in-person.
Expectations for Remote Learning
Students should attend all scheduled classes and be an active participant in online instruction. Students should be in appropriate dress and conduct themselves in a manner that is both productive and not disruptive or disrespectful to the other students or teacher.
Grading
All grading will continue, following our traditional grading scale. Unlike in the Spring, there will NOT be a pass/fail option and all grades will be included in the student’s grade point average. Attendance, participation and work completion are key to the success of all students.
