Hi! My name is Rosalie Ganito and I am the new School Counselor at Tallmadge High School. I am a graduate of Twinsburg High School and Kent State University. I am a huge Taylor Swift fan. In my free time, I enjoy spending time playing with my niece and 4 nephews. My favorite food is Italian food. I love to travel, beach vacations are my favorite! I love all Cleveland sports. While still being a huge Cleveland sports fan, I am also a Dallas Cowboys fan. Country music is my favorite music genre and I enjoy listening to live music. My favorite show is Grey's Anatomy and my favorite movie is 13 Going on 30. I chose to be a school counselor because of my strong passion for working with students and helping them grow and succeed.

I’ve alway been a go to person for guidance and support for family and friends. Even being the youngest sibling of three, my older sisters would come to me for help and guidance! My passion for working with people to help them grow and succeed stemmed from this.  I have always wanted to work in the field of education. The combination of these things led me to become a school counselor. I would like for students at THS to know that my door is always open and that I am a safe place for them to share their ups and downs.

Sarah Kessler is the new high school Spanish teacher. She is a graduate of Rocky River High School and Wittenberg University. She enjoys traveling and exploring new cultures. Mrs. Kessler has visited over seventeen different countries. Her favorite food is ice cream and her favorite holiday is Día de los Muertos. Mrs. Kessler has wanted to be a teacher since she was a child. Since earning her Bachelor’s Degrees in Spanish and International Studies as well as a Master’s Degree in Secondary Teaching, she has taught both English abroad and Spanish at both the junior high and high school levels. Her favorite shows are Criminal Minds and Dateline. She has a slight obsession with penguins and anything Spanish. She is a great addition to our staff and a very dedicated teacher.

 Tallmadge Elementary

Hello Tallmadge community! My name is Sarah McClinsey. I am a proud new staff member to Dunbar Elementary and will be teaching First Grade this Fall. I graduated May of 2018 with my Bachelor of Science in Education and will be finishing up my Master’s this Fall. When I am not teaching, or being a student myself, I enjoy spending my time with my family, pets, and venturing out to find new restaurants. I am passionate about student rights and providing equitable education for all children. This passion and my love of teaching is why I know Tallmadge is going to be a perfect fit for me!

Hello! My name is Kylie McInturff (formerly Byers). I graduated from Kent State University in 2017 and have had the pleasure of working in Tallmadge, at both Dunbar and Munroe Elementary School, for the past two years. I’ve enjoyed learning and growing in Tallmadge through field work, student teaching, and two long-term substitute teaching positions. I am so proud to be part of this community which has been nothing short of welcoming and inspiring. In my free time, I love to camp, hike and travel with my husband, Justin. Our favorite place to go is Asheville, North Carolina. This year I will be teaching first grade and coaching freshman cheer. Looking forward to a fabulous year!

Elizabeth Beane is the new first grade teacher at Dunbar Elementary School. She is a graduate of Tallmadge High School—Go Blue Devils! She went on to continue her education at Kent State University to study Early Childhood Education. She began her teaching career in the Kent City School District as a Title 1 Tutor for 3 years. She is so excited to be back in the district where she grew up. In her free time, Elizabeth enjoys spending time with family, traveling, and going to trivia nights with friends. Elizabeth recently got married to her husband, Mark. They have an adorable cat named Phoebe. Elizabeth’s favorite show to watch is Friends. Both her and her husband love going to Indians games over the summer. Elizabeth knew she wanted to be a teacher since she was a young girl. Her mom was a kindergarten teacher for many years. She watched her mother and all of the amazing teachers in Tallmadge touch so many lives each day. She couldn’t think of a more rewarding and fulfilling career path.

Brittany Currie is a new 3rd grade teacher. She is a graduate of Cuyahoga Falls High School. She went on to study Business at Ohio State University but eventually ended up at Kent State majoring in Early Childhood Education. Her passion for teaching started at a young age but her plans of being a teacher changed throughout high school. Her passion was ignited again when she began working at a daycare in Columbus. She loves how honest and open children are and how they teach her something new every day. Brittany recently became one of the freshman cheerleading coaches at the high school, which she absolutely loves! Brittany loves Italian food, The Office, and stand-up comedy. Her favorite thing to do is read and spend time with her family. Brittany is the youngest of five children, her older brother, also works at Tallmadge. She is so excited to be a part of the Tallmadge community!

Joshua Gambow is a new school counselor at Tallmadge Elementary School. He is a graduate of Lake High School and Walsh University. He is incredibly close to his parents, his older brother and sister in law, and his grandparents. During the football season, Mr. Gambow will likely be found on the back porch at his
grandparent’s house eating food, and watching the Browns. He also enjoys running and hiking, swimming, playing his Xbox with friends, and playing with his cat Ellie. He chose to become a school counselor because he loves working with children and wants to make sure that student voices and
concerns can be heard, while also educating them on how to be resilient in an ever-changing society.
