Rick was born and raised in Northeast Ohio. He is a graduate of the United States Military Academy, West Point and was awarded a Bachelor of Science in Nuclear Engineering. He currently holds the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. In 1995 he attended Syracuse University where he received a Masters in Business Administration, Summa Cum Laude. He is the President of the Margaret Clark Morgan Foundation based in Hudson.

Vice-President
Brad Croskey is serving his first term as a member of the Tallmadge Board of Education. Having recently retired, he spent 34 years with Tallmadge Schools as a teacher, coach, and Director of Technology. After receiving his B.A. in Education, Mr. Croskey earned a Masters in Physics … all at The University of Akron. He and his wife Renee have one son, Brice, a 2009 graduate of Tallmadge City Schools.

Christine Cipa
Christine Cipa

Christine is the parent of three children in the Tallmadge School System: Jonathan, Benjamin and Stephanie. She holds a BS in Secondary Education and Masters work in Elementary Education. She has taught in local school districts and now, with her husband Christopher, owns and operates a small business in Tallmadge. She is also a long time community and school volunteer and a member of the Doggie Brigade at Akron Children's Hospital.

Jennifer Justice-Carter

Jennifer was raised in Tallmadge and graduated from Tallmadge High School in 1996.  She went on to earn a bachelor's degree in nursing from the University of Akron.  Jennifer currently maintains her registered nurse status in the State of Ohio.  Jennifer and her husband Erick are raising their two children--Katherine and Warner, in Tallmadge.  Jennifer is active with the PTA and volunteers as a softball coach and bible school teacher.  Along with her husband, Erick, Jennifer enjoys keeping her family active and is an avid runner and snow skier.  She is currently fulfilling her first School Board term.

Valorie Prulhiere
Valorie Prulhiere
Valorie moved to Tallmadge at the age of 7 and graduated from THS in 1976. She earned a BSN from the University of Akron's College of Nursing and has worked at Summa Health System as a registered nurse since 1980. Valorie manages the DOVE Program, an adolescent/adult forensic healthcare program. She and her husband, Jeff (THS '75), have 3 children: Diana (THS '03), Scott (THS '06) and Adam (THS '08). Valorie has served on the Board since 2002.

Board Meetings
The Board meets on the third Wednesday of every month at 6:00 p.m. in the Community Room (1221) at the new Tallmadge High School, 140 N. Munroe Road. Notice is given of changes in date, time or place of meeting.
 

After-School Hours

The Tallmadge Board of Education has established "After-School Hours," to be held every first Monday of the month, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the McCombs Education Center, 486 East Avenue. Citizens are invited to drop by with their questions, ideas or concerns in an informal, non-meeting setting.. Members of the school board and administrative staff will take turns hosting the open hours.
