2018-2019 School Year

Jeff Ferguson - Superintendent
Happy New Year, Tallmadge!

I hope 2019 is off to a great start for you and your family.

While it may be a new year, Tallmadge is already halfway through the 2018-2019 school year.  It's hard to believe it's already January.  Our students and staff have accomplished so much already, and I'm looking forward to ending the year just as strong as we started.

I would like to send a big thank you to all of the teachers and staff who have been part of creating the Tallmadge City Schools Directional System over the last year.  The final draft of the Directional System was presented to the Board of Education at its January meeting and will be adopted in February.

The Directional System highlights our Guiding Principles, Character Traits, Instructional Strategies and our Community with the goal of aligning teaching and learning across the district.  We are excited to begin using the Directional System and sharing it with our community once the Board adopts it in February.

Our building projects continue to remain on track.  It's exciting to see the new middle school beginning to take shape!  On April 22, we will be hosting a sneak peek of the new building, along with breakout sessions to discuss 21st-century learning and student safety.  Mark your calendars now!

We may be halfway through the school year, but there is still plenty of time to get involved and support our students.  If you're interested, please contact one of our buildings for details.
